Community Guidelines
The DateMuse community is a wall of real date recaps, shared by the members who went on them. These rules keep it useful and safe — for the person sharing, the people in the photos, and everyone reading afterwards.
Effective date: October 31, 2026
1. Share your own dates only
Post a recap of a date you actually went on, or a plan you put together yourself. Do not publish someone else’s write-up, photos or itinerary without their permission, and do not present an advertisement as a personal experience.
2. Get permission for identifiable photos
If a photo clearly shows another person, ask them first — including a partner, a date or a stranger in the background. If you are not sure you have permission, crop it, turn someone away from the camera or leave the photo out. You confirm this every time you publish.
3. Keep personal details out
Before publishing, remove from your title, caption and photos:
- phone numbers, email addresses, home or work addresses, and car number plates;
- who your date was, their workplace, or anything that identifies them;
- documents, tickets, boarding passes, receipts with card details, or screens with messages;
- exact meeting times and live “we are here now” details.
Shared recaps are readable by other signed-in members. A date you publish is not a private journal entry — DateMuse never copies your private notes, descriptions, reviews or partner preferences into a post.
4. Be honest about what you know
Write what happened, not what you hoped would happen. Prices, opening hours and menus change, so say when you visited. Places you name are shown as member-shared, not verified — check them before you travel. Do not post reviews you were paid to write, and do not pretend to be a venue.
5. No harassment, hate or explicit material
DateMuse is for adults planning dates. Content that is sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, harassing, or aimed at getting a specific member into trouble is removed. So is spam, repeated self-promotion, and anything that breaks the law where you are.
6. Reporting, blocking and moderation
Every date page has Report. Reports go straight to the DateMuse owner, who can hide a post from the community, put it back, or remove it and its shared photos. Every action is written to a moderation trail with a reason.
Block hides a member’s dates from your feed, search, trending and saved list. You can unblock them at any time. Reporting alone never lets another member delete your post — only you, or the owner acting on a report, can do that.
7. You stay in control of your post
You can unpublish, edit or delete your own post whenever you like, and deleting a post also deletes its shared photos. Your private memory, photos and notes are untouched. Deleting a post cannot take back a card or photo someone already downloaded, so think once before you share.
8. What happens if you break these rules
The owner may hide or remove posts and, for repeated or serious cases, suspend or close an account. If you think a decision was wrong, email info.datemuse@gmail.com and ask for it to be reviewed.
9. Who runs this
These guidelines are set by Fabiola M. Alfaro Larios, trading as DateMuse. They sit alongside our Terms and Privacy Notice.
